Canadian Contingent – 23rd World Jamboree

This is your invitation to join the Canadian Contingent for the 2015 World Jamboree. Together we’ll journey into tomorrow for the experience of a lifetime that will include a fantastic Pre-Jamboree stop in Hong Kong beginning July 24, 2015. From there, we’ll head to Kirara-hama, Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on July 28, 2015 for 11 days of incredible programming and life-changing cultural adventure.
Registration is now open at the Scouts Canada website. By registering and authorizing your Pre-Authorized Payment by December 15th you can take advantage of the $250 Early Bird Discount. You can find more information on payment details at http://scouts.ca/japan2015/fee.php
The cost of participating in the World Jamboree is $5,995.00 plus $400.00 more if your participate in the Home Hospitality program. To be eligible to attend as a participant, you must be born between July 28, 1997 and July 27, 2001.
The Kamloops Area will assist in fundraising over the next 18 months to help defray costs, however, once registered you are “on the hook” for the full amount of the fee. Any monies obtained through fund raising will go back to you, not to Scouts Canada. All area youth registered for the 2015 World Jamboree that wish to participate in fundraising must contact Scouter Frank Watson at (250)434-9962 as soon as possible after registering and authorizing your Pre-Authorized Payment with Scouts Canada.
