Congratulations to Jeremy Dahl and Rob Beesley from Kamloops upon being awarded the Queen’s Venturer Award. The award was presented to them in Victoria on April 21, 2018 at Government House by the Her Honour Judith Guichon.
Jeremy and Rob spent Friday night at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel where they participated activities with other Queen’s Venturer Award recipients from across BC, such as going on a scavenger hunt in downtown Victoria. On Saturday they attended a formal lunch before being transported to Government House for the official Queen’s Venturer Award Ceremony. Scouter Kevin Beesley was in attendance to represent the Scouters from 1st Couteau Scout Group who have supported Jeremy and Rob on their quest to achieve the Queen’s Venturer Award. After the award ceremony and pictures they were able to mix and mingle with Her Honour Judith Guichon, the Board of Governors and other dignitaries. It was a very exciting day and everyone in the Couteau Venturer Company would like to congratulate Jeremy and Rob on this great accomplishment.
The Queen’s Venturer Award is presented to Venturers who have acquired competence and skills that will be of considerable use to themselves, their company and their community. These Venturers will have also been recognized by the Company, their Advisors, and Scouts Canada as being worthy of receiving this award. The Award signifies that a Venturer has, in the opinion of those who know the Venturer, both the character and ability to be of significant help to other people.
