Area Annual Cub Scout & Whitetail Camp

Camp Opening: Saturday 10:00 PM
Camp Closing: Sunday 2:00PM

Registration opens April 01, 2020

Attendees must be registered active in My Scouts. Youth must be registered as Beaver Scouts or Cub Scouts. Youth must be between 8 and 11 years of age this year (Whitetail Beavers and Cub Scouts). Adults must be active Scouters. Parents may attend and assist at the camp if they are registered in My Scouts with a clean Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening, have signed the code of conduct, and completed Safe Scouting for Parents online training. A Parent may attend as support for a disabled child but must sign the code of conduct and may not assisting any other way.

The program includes

  • Meals – Friday evening snack, Saturday breakfast, lunch and supper plus afternoon canteen and evening mug up. Sunday breakfast and lunch.
  • Camp Crest
  • SDG15 Go Green Activities
    • Leave no trace
    • Potable water (life straws, water habitat, build a natural water filter etc.)
    • Tree / Plant identification
    • Bird / Small Animal identification
    • Plastics – the good the bad and the ugly
    • On / In the water – swimming, canoeing, kayaking
    • Build a community planter, plant it, provide a water source
    • Themed Games / Crafts (pocket sundial) / Skills – do water balloons fit in here?
    • Magic Campfire
    • Badge trading
    • More Outdoor Adventure Skills …

    Things to know

  • Payment will be by Group Cheque
  • Section Scouters need to Contact Us for a Section Code so that their youth can register online without being invoiced
  • We will invoice each group directly
  • Camping will be in cabins assigned by gender and whether youth or adult
  • Groups may request to camp in the tenting area – tents not supplied
  • COVID-19 is a concern and appropriate risk assessments will be made and prevention practices followed.
  • A suggested kit list & driving direction will be forwarded to registrants
  • 1st Couteau Scout Group youth will serve as team & activity leaders
